Cypress Village Speakers Series – First Session this Sunday

Join the Dialogue

Join British Pacific Properties and The West Vancouver Nature House Society May 3 at the Kay Meek Centre for the first in a three-part, thought-provoking speaker series.

Admission is free but registration is required.; BPP will donate $10 to Nature House for every attendee.

Three distinguished thinkers will explore our community’s future as part of the Cypress Village planning process.

MAY 3 – 7pm
Co-presented with the West Vancouver Nature House Society
Speaker: David Foot professor, Department of Economics at the University of Toronto
David Food is a world renowned demographer, economist and co-author of the best-selling books Boom Bust & Echo: How to Profit from the Coming Demographic Shift and Boom Bust & Echo: Profiting from the Demographic Shift in the 21st Century.

JUNE 21- 7pm
Co-presented with Pauline Johnson Community Park 
Speaker: Charles Montgomery, Award winning Canadian writer and urbanist
Charles Montgomery is the author of the award winning Happy City, and is founder of the consultancy of the same name.

SEPTEMBER 8 – 7pm
Co-presented with Hollyburn Family Services Society
Speaker: Richard Florida, Director of the Martin Prosperity Institute at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, Global Research Professor at New York University and a Visiting Fellow at Florida International University
Richard Florida is a world leading urbanist and has penned several global best sellers, including The Rise of the Creative Class.
